What is FSC® forest certification?
FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) certification is a properly managed forest certification program. It was established amidst the growing problems of global deforestation, forest degradation, and green purchasing.
FSC® certification certifies the proper management of forests [FM (Forest Management) certification], and means that products come from properly managed forests, and are processed and distributed appropriately [COC (processing and distribution) certification].
Certified products carry the FSC® logo.
Along with environmental consciousness, the number of companies and users who choose FSC®-certified products is increasing.
FSC® forest certification and responsible wood and paper use
Although recycling wood and paper is important, they cannot be reused forever.
We will also continue to utilize forests for wood products. As FSC®-certified products made by COC certification holders increase in the market and the purchases by business and consumers progress, we will increasingly utilize properly managed forests.
